Located in Urayasu City Chiba Prefecture and established in 1970. The embroidered ceremonial flag has maroon background with a white logo mark, gold kanji 大學 and gold kanji university name vertically written in gold fringe. The university flag has green background with a white logo mark and white kanji university name written vertically, white English university name written horizontally. The logo was created in 1988 when Josai Dental College, the predecessor of Meikai University, was reborn as a general university. The "M" in the initials of Meikai University symbolizes the university's founding spirit, which has been handed down since its establishment in 1970: "We aim to foster talented individuals who will acquire social awareness, creativity and rationality and be active in a broad international future society. The bold "M" motif of the design expresses the strength of Meikai University as it transcends the oceans and leaps forward into an international future society.
