Located in Nagoya City Aichi Prefecture and established in 1946.
The embroidered ceremonial flag has purplish blue background with a gold-colored emblem in the center and purplish-blue fringe.
The emblem is a schematic representation of Aichi University combining kanji letter"愛" =ai and "大," =dai and while simple, it expresses the determination and pride of the university to continue its tireless progress under the spirit of the university's founding. It was adopted in June 1947. The original design was created by Mitsuharu Takasu (under the tutelage of Ryusei Kishida).
