The town emblem was adopted on August 8th, 1956 by Notice No 51 and the flag were adopted on Jun 27th, 1997 by Notice No 15. The green flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized katakana ツル Tsuru of Tsuruta in a form of a crane. The flag proportion is 7: 10. The diameter of the emblem is 7/10 the height of the flag.
