Description of the flag

Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation (کمیته‌ی امداد امام خمینی) was formally established on March 5, 1979 in order to provide support for poor families in financial difficulties, although it was active prior to its formal organization. Prior to the 1979 Revolution, its activities were focused in assisting and taking care of the families of political prisoners.

Currently its scope of intervention also covers assisting peoples in other Islamic countries such as: Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Comoros, Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria and Tajikistan.

The flag is the logo (as seen here: https://portal.emdad.ir/Content/media/image/main/logo-footer.png and here: https://fa.wikipedia.org) over a black horizontal background, having a golden fimbriation on the outer borders. A variant flag follows the same pattern described above, changing only the background for blue without the golden fringe.
