Flag

Founded in 1838 as a result of a long running dispute with the rulers of Kotah. Ancestors were petty chiefs of Halvad in the district of Jhalawar, in Kathiawar. His Highness the Maharaj Rana maintains a military force of 403 cavalry, 3873 infantry, and 94 guns and is entitled to a salute of 15 guns (in 1893).
