Introduction

"Molvania: A Land Untouched By Modern Dentistry" is the first of the "Jetlag Travel Guides", a series of humorous satires on fictional countries. Molvania is supposed to be a former Soviet Republic, although its name is most probably a play on the names of certain provinces in Romania.

National Flag

The Molvanian 'trikolor' is unique for the fact that it has only two colours. After the fall of the Iron Curtain, Molvania was the only ex-Soviet state to retain the hammer and sickle. So enamoured were they with the symbols of workers' unity, they added a third tool - the trowel.
