The coat of arms of Altura is prescribed by a Resolution adopted on 25 June 2002 by the Minister of Justice and Public Administration and published on 20 August 2002 in the official gazette of the Valencian Community, No. 4,317.
The "rehabilitated" coat of arms is described as follows:

Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Azure a tower or ensigned by a flag argent, 2. Or four pallets gules. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown close [open on the arms in actual use].
