The Ibernexus movement (also known as Partido IbnX; website) is a "spontaneous, iberianist and democratic movement", officially registered as a Spanish nationwide political party on 15 January 2018, "without a priori intention to compete in elections".
The movement's name is formed on:
- "Iber", from Iberia / Iberian Peninsula.
This refers to the territory inhabited by the peoples of the peninsula,
but also to the archipelagos. Iberia is the first historical name,
coined by the Greeks, used to identify this place.
- "Nexus", from Latin nexus, "a link".
This refers to the link that connects people, settlements and
communities of the peninsula and archipelagos. The Latin root is used to
maintain neutrality towards the different peninsular languages.
Ibernexus is "a citizen and social movement aspiring at linking the
different Iberian peoples on a common ground, respecting each one's
idiosyncrasy and life style. The objective of Ibernexus is the search
for an alternative system able to bring citizens closer to
decision-making process.
This having been said, Ibernexus appears mostly as a single-man project
created by Gontran Patrick Dutoya, self-styled "designer, artist,
musician, free-thinker and idea grower". The Ibernexus (branding file
includes a full set of logos for the Ibernexus movement, government,
parliament, assembly, commission, and "ideological alliances" forming
the parliament.
Ibernexus is further presented as an "online Iberian democratic movement", which pushes the establishment of the Iberian Confederation, as a "confederation of the free peoples of the Iberian peninsula".

Ibernexus presents under the "Vexicología" heading a proposal of official flag, horizontally divided red-white-yellow with the movement's logo in the lower right part.
Red is the color of Central Iberia, as a tribute to the old Kingdom of
Navarre and the Crown of Castile (the main power in the central areas of the peninsula).
White is the color of Atlantic Iberia, as a tribute to the old Kingdom
of Asturias, the cradle of the Iberian culture of the peninsular western third, and to the main power that succeeded it, the Kingdom of Portugal.
Yellow is the color of Mediterranean Iberia, as the tribute to the Crown
of Aragón, formed of the Kingdom of Aragón, the Principality of Catalonia, the Kingdom of Valencia, and the Kingdom of Majorca.

The emblem is composed of the movement's logotype and name.
The logotype has for pattern a vortex, representing the convergence of
the Iberian peoples towards a common objective; an irregular drawing,
naturally representing "humanity", feeling, expressiveness, passion and
force; a heart shape, representing the heart of our land, the Iberian
alma mater, and love among peoples; number 3, representing balance,
stability and neutrality, making possible decision-making.
The colors are prescribed as follows:
