Reederverband Berlin

We already have information on a number of Berlin based tourist shipping companies. This is their organization's homepage.
'Reederverband Berlin' i.e. 'Berlin Shipowners' Association'. Founded in 1949, this body wishes to defend the interests of private tourist shipping companies. Currently 29 firms operating 63 vessels and one restaurant ship are represented. In addition there are nine common mooring bridges.
The following map gives an idea of routes offered (mainly rivers and canals in the Berlin city area plus similar routes and lakes to the east).
Regular and special outings are advertised as well and the member list will come in handy to extend our knowledge of local Berlin house flags.
See also list of members, also giving ships' names and capacity.
The association's flag, shown as a drawing, is quarterly divided: top and bottom are red, hoist and fly are white; a large white steering wheel with black outlines is placed in the centre (partly masking the red triangles), accompanied by black initials 'R' (left triangle), 'V' (right triangle), and 'B' (bottom triangle), all three town colours are present.
