Iffeldorf Coat of Arms

Renaissance shield Argent parted by a bend parted per fess of Sable and Gules, over all a fleur-de-lis Azure, base wavy Azure charged with a water lily leaf Argent.
Meaning:
Base and leaf are representing the Oberseen, a group of small lakes surrounding the village and a nature sanctuary. The fleur-de-lis is an attribute of St. Mary and is symbolising the Baroque pilgrimage chapel on the Heuwinkl, a mountain. The chapel was built on the edge of the village by the Wessobrunn Monastery since 1698. The parted bend is taken from the arms of the Höhenkirchner family from Königsdorf, who owned the local district (Bavarian: Hofmark) between 1385 and 1682. The monastery had been the successor of the family and owned the district until 1803, when the monastery was secularised.
