Shield Argent with base Sable, issuant from base two grain ears Vert in saltire, in chief an impending cross patty Sable.
Meaning:
In the 9th century the village had the name "Flinxwangun", which is affiliated to stony, calciferous ground , represented by the black base. The ears are symbolising agriculture. The cross is that one of the Teutonic Order, which gained a commandery in 1296 and kept it until 1806.
