Bischweier Coat of Arms

Shield Argent, a mirrored minuscule "h" Gules, in dexter chief a faceted 6-point star Gules.
Meaning:
The minuscule is a local symbol, first proven in 1604 in the local granary, to collect the taxes, given in grain; and in 1609 on a plaque on the wall of the municipal hall. It was also used in local seals, which existed since the middle of the 18th century. The pattern varied and the oldest version displayed a cultivator. The current pattern was suggested by the General State Archive and adopted by the municipalty in 1901.
