Wilhelmsfeld Coat of Arms

Shield Azure, a sickle Argent hilted Sable in bend, superimposed by a sinister pointing axe Argent hilted Sable in pale.
Meaning:
The place was established as a forest settlement in 1710 by Elector John Wilhelm of the Palatinate. It had been a part of Heiligkreuzsteinach Municipality since 1810. The first seal of the independent municipality displayed the letters "WF", surmounting the crossed sickle and axe. The letters were omitted in the second seal from 1818. The tools were symbolising agriculture and forestry as main business lines. The hilts of the tools had been "proper" (i.e. brown), but the tinctures were changed in 1956 to black.

The banner was approved and the arms confirmed on 25 September 1956 by Minister of Interior of Baden-Württemberg, published in GABl 621/1956.
