Kuchen Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess; above Gules, an elephant passant Argent with his feet on a quadruplemount Or; beneath Argent, a heraldic rose Gules, seeded Or and barbed Vert.
Meaning:
The upper half with the elephant displays the family arms of the Counts of helfenstein. The rose is taken from the arms of Geislingen upon Steige city, with which Kuchen shared many fortunes and misfortunes. Together both locations were sold to the Imperial City of Ulm and later on acqired by Württemberg.

The banner was approved on 16 February 1959 by Minister of Interior of Baden-Württemberg, published in GABl 127/1959. The arms are in use since after 1930.
