Sinzig Coat of Arms

Shield Or crested by a coronet Gules gemmed Or, an eagle Sable, armed and tongued Gules, issuant from base an embattled wall Gules masoned Sable with tower of the same in centre with open port and portcullis Sable.
Meaning:
Sinzig had been seat of a royal palace (German: Pfalz). Thus the oldest seal with prints since 1270 displayed a king with crown, sceptre and orb above a wall and under a Gothic arch. The king was replaced by the one-headed imperial eagle since the 14th century. A court seal from the 15th century displayed the eagle alone. The current pattern was introduced in the 19th century. Sinzig regained the title of a city in 1857.

The arms are traditional, the banner is probably used without approval.
