Westendorf Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess, above again parted per fess of Argent and Gules, beneath Argent an annulet Sable.
Meaning:
The tinctures red and white are those of the Bishopric of Augsburg, as Westendorf had been seat of the Kühlenthal district between 1650 and 1802. The red bar in centre is representing the imperial highroad between Augsburg and Donauwörth. The annulet in different tincture is taken from the arms of the Knöringer kin, who owned large estates in the 14th century. Before members of the Westendorf kin had used the same pattern in the tinctures of the municipal arms.

The arms were approved on 9 September 1963 by Minister of Interior of Bayern.
