Shield parted per fess; above Argent parted by a saltire Gules, in centre superimposed by a heraldic rose Gules seeded Argent, and flanked by two smaller roses of the same; beneath Azure a millwheel issuant Argent.
Meaning:
The upper half is a combination of the arms of the Schenk of Reicheneck family (saltire) and the Knorr of Rosenroth family (red roses). The families ruled the districts (Bavarian: Hofmarken) of Haunritz and Högen. The most prominent ruler of the Högen district had been Christian Knorr of Rosenroth (1636 – 1689), a Protestant scholar and poet. The millwheel is symbolising the production of paper in Haunritz over the centuries.
