The coat of arms of Srebrenica is prescribed in Article 6 of the Municipal Statutes Statut opštine Srebrenica (text), adopted on 25 June 2008 by the Municipal Assembly and published on 10 July 2008 in the Municipal official gazette Bilten opštine Srebrenica, No. 9, as follows:

The symbol is in the shape of a stylized Latin letter "S" beneath which is inscribed "SREBRENICA".
The word "SREBRENICA" and the interior of the letter "S" are gray, representing lead and zinc ore, while the edges of the letter "S" are dusky orange, symbolizing the resources of the municipality in bauxite ore.
In the top part of the letter "S" is a green tree symbolizing the natural resources of the municipality in woods; in the bottom part of the letter "S" is an orange fountain representing the healing waters of Crni Guber [the spa of Srebrenička Banja].
The symbol is set on a red background.
The use, appliance and changes of the symbol shall be determined by the Municipal Assembly of Srebrenica in a separate Decision.
