Description of arms (German): Im geteilten Schild oben in Gold die wachsende vorwärtsgekehrte Gestalt eines Pilgers mit rotem Kleide, schwarzem Mantel und ebensolchem barettartigem Hut, in der Rechten einen Pilgerstab haltend, die Linke in die Seite gestützt, unten in Blau ein aufrechter rechtsgewendeter schwarzer Hund. Blazoning of arms (English): Per fess: in chief Or, a pilgrim issuant vested Gules, wearing a coat Sable and a hat Sable, holding in his dexter a pilgrim staff, the sinister on his hip; in base Azure, a dog rampant Sable.
Adoption date of arms: 30 September 1930 (based on the historical arms first attested 1592)
