The arms show an ibex, a typical animal for the high mountains in the municipality, taken from the arms of the lords of Neukirchen. The point symbolises the mountains, especially the Grossvenediger, Austria's second highest mountain. The ibex has a red-white ball between his forefeet; this symbol comes from the arms of the Kuenburg family.
