Symbols adopted on 30 Jun 2003 by County Law.
Chrystian Kretowicz from California translated the law. Here
is a translation of the relevant text:
"ARMS - Heraldic shield in the Late Gothic style. On a gold field there
is an eagle (black) with a silver crescent moon across its chest and wings.
On both ends of the crescent are silver trefoils. The tongue ant the talons
of the eagle are red. On the eagle's chest is a Late Gothic shield with
a silver field, on which there are: red heart pierced by a golden arrow,
from lower left to upper right. In the middle of the heart is a Latin Cross,
and on its sides and below it, are 3 six-pointed, golden stars. On top
of the heart is a golden flame (or sunburst). Above the top edge of the
shield is a red (golden-outlined) bishop's mitre and the pastoral on its
right side.
The territorial flag for the ordinary use is a piece of cloth in the
ratio 5:8 of three horizontal bands: first, upper one, and third, lower
one, are of equal width. The middle band is 4 times wider than either the
upper or lower bands. Upper band is silver (white) Middle band is red Lower
band is gold (yellow)
The official (ceremonial) flag is identical to the ordinary one, except
it contains the arms of the county. After dividing the length of the flag
into 3 parts, the abstract line of division - from the edge of the flag,
will be the axis for the shield of arms. The shield of arms is placed in
the first (frontal) part of the flag."
