Shield Or with base wavy of Azure over Argent, issuant from base a bridge Sable masoned Or having three archs, three connected pairs of cherries Gules stemmed Vert ordered 1:2. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "CERDEIRA - SABUGAL".
Meaning:
The cherry pairs are canting elements. "Cerdeira" is the local northeastern mainland Portuguese alternative to the more usual "cerejeira", meaning "cherry tree", (cerdeira = cherry orchard) The base wavy is representing Noémi River, finally the bridge is crossing that river.

Cerdeira do Côa, or simply Cerdeira, was one of the 30 communes of Sabugal Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes ; it had 229 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 24,1 km².
