Description of the flag

Est: 1940. Location: Sea Isle City, NJ.
Burgee: Pennant circa 3:5 (print image). Blue field superimposed by a white anchor (1 unit from hoist) upon a smaller white ring.
Note: "The dream of a new Yacht Club in Sea Isle City came true when dedication ceremonies were held for the original clubhouse on Saturday afternoon, August Thirtieth, in nineteen hundred and forty-one. . . . The name "Yacht Club of Sea Isle City" was adopted."
Ruth P. Berlinger.

Note: "Our club was founded in 1940 … the white anchor with life preserver (circle) was our club burgee since then."
"My understanding is the Sea Isle City Yacht Club disbanded sometime during the great depression. The building they occupied I believe was later used as a church hospital in the 30s and ultimately burned down some time before the 40s. Our charter is the Yacht Club of Sea Isle City which may have been chosen to distinguish as a new charter separate from the older SICYC or motor club."
