New Rochelle Yacht Club

New Rochelle Yacht Club (NYRC) was established on Long Island Sound (Westchester County, New York).

The granddaddy of all the local clubs, New Rochelle Yacht Club was established in 1868. Its first boathouse on Echo Island was moved to the mainland next to the Rowing Club in 1895. Six years later, the structure was barged out to Big Harrison Island, formerly the home of David Harrison and family. In 1925, the wood frame clubhouse burned down and was replaced with a stucco building. The club closed in 1960. The City of New Rochelle later purchased the property, with four other islands, to create Five Islands Park in 1981.

The club's burgee and official signals are shown on a colour plate sourced to Mannings Yacht Register, New York, as displayed (incorrectly) at https://lannangallery.com/products/framed-original-page-from-lloyds-register-c-1938

The burgee of NRYC was white with a blue triangle, whose points reach the mid hoist and whose base matches the flag's center, leaving three white triangles, two placed along the hoist and the third covering the fly.

The officer's signals were made of the club's burgee, with respective modifications, placed on a colored rectangle.
