Part of the University of Arkansas System, UAFS is the sixth-largest university in Arkansas with a fall 2020 enrollment of approximately 6,500 students. The university campus occupies 168 acres (0.68 km2) of an arboretum that has 1,182 GPS-inventoried trees representing 81 species.
