Introduction: The Colts Franchise
Baltimore Colts (1953-1983), Indianapolis Colts (1984-present)

The Indianapolis Colts compete in the American Football Conference (AFC) South division, part of the National Football League (NFL). The Colts joined the National Football League in 1953 as the Baltimore Colts. Following the 1970 merger of the American Football League and the National Football League, the Colts were one of three NFL teams to become part of the American Football Conference. The Colts have had three home fields during their history. They were Memorial Stadium (1953-1983), the RCA Dome (1984-2007), and the Lucas Oil Stadium (2008-present).
While in Baltimore the team played in two Super Bowls losing to the New York Jets in Super Bowl III (1969) and defeating the Dallas Cowboys in Super Bowl V (1971). In 1984 the team moved to Indianapolis, and appeared in their third Super Bowl, defeating the Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XLI (2007). In total, as of the end of the 2016 season, has won seven conference championships, 16 divisional championships, and appeared in 27 playoff games.
Note: Be aware that there are a host of manufacturer's variants of these and other fan flags being marketed for "Colts" fans. This includes garden flags, banners, and pennants.
