The flag is a vertical tribar, green-white-green, but the hoist green stripe is narrower. A seal is in the hoist green stripe, and the name in the white field.

This flag of Grayslake was designed in the 1970s, according to Assistant Village Manager Brett Kryska. It features a man riding a lively horse. Village Manager Brett Kryska said no one knew what it represented.
