Superior students offer designs for town flag
January 6, 2016

Superior could become the second Boulder County municipality to adopt a flag inspired by the efforts of local students. On Wednesday, the Superior Youth Leadership Council unanimously approved Abby Adams’ design, which reads “The Town of Superior” and incorporates the tree and curved lines from the town logo in the town colors, maroon and white.

“I was just looking at the logo and the tree looked like an ‘I’ next to the circle that looked like an ‘O’ so I just thought it would be cool to use it as a letter in Superior,” Abby,15, said.

The town’s marketing team is creating a digital version of the design, which Abby sketched in pen on a plain sheet of white paper, for the group to present to the Board of Trustees for adoption during its Monday meeting.
