Presentation of Kürtün

The municipality of Kürtün (14,346 inhabitants in 2018, 7,839 in the town of Kürtün) is located 60 km north-west of Gümüşhane.

Flag of Kürtün

The flag of Kürtün (photo; video) is white with the municipality's emblem, which represents Kürtün Dam, established on river Harşit, 5 km east of Kürtün. The building of the dam was initiated in 1986; flooding started in 2002 and the power plant (2 x 40 MW) was inaugurated on 2004.
"Belediyesi" means "Municipality".
