Presentation of Seixal, Arrentela e Aldeia de Paio Pires United Commune

In January 2013 the boudaries of Portuguese communes (fregusias, literally parishes) were redrawn. Within this framework in Seixal Municipality the former communes of Seixal (proper), Arrentela and Aldeia de Paio Pires merged, forming a so called "united commune" (officially união das freguesias). I guess between a freguesia and an união das freguesias is no substancial difference. Most (or all) of the new communes / united communes have not yet proper symbols.
