Coat of arms

Shield Vert, issuant from base a mountain Or superimposed by an owl Purpure armed and eyed Argent and crowned by an embattled mural wall Argent masoned Sable with port Vert, in chief a scallop Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "CENDUFE".
The scallop is an attribute of St. James the Elder, the local patron saint.

Cendufe Commune is one of the 36 communes of the Arcos de Valdevez municipality (q.v.); it had 360 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 3.2 km².
