Blazon: I rødt fire opprette gull flyndrer, 1-2-1. In English: Gules four flatfishes, one over two over one.
Approved by the royal resolution of 5 October 1984 after a drawing by Nils Aas. [c2j87]
In 2011 (http://www.inderoy.kommune.no/flyndra-valgt-som-kommunevaapen-for-1756-inderoey.4901196-99253.html) the design of the previous Inderøy municipality arms was adopted to the new municipality of the same name created by union with the Mosvik municipality. Inderøy was was famous for high quality flatfish production in the early 20th century until 1940s.
