No Flag

The council informed me they do not have a municipal flag.

Coat of Arms

image from the Municipal Council

The council informed me they could not find records relating to its adoption. The shield has a rolled border in gold, relating to the state's coat of arms. Above the shield is a National Eagle for patriotism. Under it is a ribbon reading "VILLA DE GUADALUPE"; under it is "S.L.P" in black. The shield is divided into four squares. The upper-left section depicts elements of the local economy and environment: at the top, a cob of corn (agriculture) and goat (ranching); in the middle a map of the municipality with a star indicating its municipal seat; to its left a yucca plant for its desert flora, and to its right a local man (possibly an Indian?). The upper-right is probably the Monument to Founders of the principal plaza. The lower-left section depicts the Our Lady of Guadalupe church for faith. The lower-right section depicts its municipal building.
