No Flag

It appears Tanlajás does not use a municipal flag.

Coat of Arms

image from cefimslp.gob.mx

The council did not give information regarding the history of its coat of arms. In Article 12 of its Municipal Policy, it is described. The shield is placed over parchment, and has in its center over a field a simplified map of the municipality (not really accurate) in 3D. Over it are symbols of the local economy: cob of corn for agriculture, cow head for cattle-raising, sugarcane and some of its fragments for further agriculture, aguaje fruit used as a canteen for water, symbols of ancestral/traditional attire (quesquem which is traditionally weaved, sandals, and sombrero; pointed hat). Under this, a ribbon in red is seen which reads TANLAJAS, S.L.P.; to its right, a curved machete or scythe and to the left a regular machete.
