No Flag

It appears Pueblo Nuevo does not use a municipal flag.

Coat of Arms

from Facebook

The coat of arms of Pueblo Nuevo was adopted in 1990, being established in a solemn session of the council under the term of Municipal President Humberto Ramos González (1989-1991). It was designed by a group of professionals under the Architect Sotelo, creating it in a graphic design workshop, being in San Miguel de Allende or Guanajuato. The teacher José de Jesús Ojeda Sánchez made the motto; he also offered historical background to the group.

The coat of arms has a ribbon above it that reads "POPULUS SEMPER NOVUS CORDE FIDELI ANIMAQUE LAETA ET PIA" [A PEOPLE ALWAYS NEW WITH FAITHFUL HEARTS AND A JOYFUL AND PIOUS SOUL]. Under it are two branches tied together, one of a corn plant and the other of wheat signifying the importance of agriculture here. The shield is divided into four sections. The upper-left section reminds us of its original Otomí name Mastonde, meaning "place between two rivers", which are the Guanajuato and Lerma rivers. In the background is the Yostiro Hill. The upper-right section depicts an Indian laurel tree, planted in honor of the centenary of the Mexican independence, found in front of a principal plaza building. The lower-left section depicts two candles crossed together, giving veneration to the Virgin of Candelaria, and are next to the two towers of the San Antonio de Padua church. The lower-right section depicts a road between fields, giving a representation of the valley.
