The council has a gonfalon that depicts the Municipal Coat of Arms in the center. Above it is "H. AYUNTAMIENTO" arched. Under it is the text "OCAMPO, GT." The top and bottom have a fringe. The council told me the design of the coat of arms was painted onto the gonfalon by the painter Nabor Quiroz Aranda in 1956, but this cannot be confirmed.

Coat of Arms

from ocampo-gto.gob.mx

The coat of arms of Ocampo was adopted in 1956, being designed and oil-painted by Nabor Quiroz Aranda. Description provided by the council:

It is divided into four sections; in the upper-left, the image of Saint John the Baptist, patron saint of the place is presented [by a tree and the river]. In its upper-right section, the figures of a cactus and a box full of prickly pears and a maguey; joined to this is the "ococote" or gourd which works for the extraction of aguamiel, these are the most common plants of the municipality for the aridity of the land in which it is situated. In the lower-left section, represented are agriculture and cattle-raising [corn cob and cow], economic activities which give life to the population; finally in the lower-right section, the image of Saint Isidore the Laborer, patron saint of agricultural workers and name of the hacienda to which the lands of where the settlement of San Juan del Basquero [sic; Vaquero] was found belonged, today Ocampo, Gto. [Also found here are trees, a plow, two donkeys, a hat, gourd for water, and ploughed field].
