Symbolism

From http://chindo.chonnam.kr/English/intro/intro2.html:

County Banner

White: The white signifies the islands scattered around the territory of Chindo, and it also stands for the county design of a circle and the Korean letter, for Chindo. It also embodies innocence, intelligence, the sun, the emotional features of a southern county, and a camellia, all of which symbolize our hope for a bright and developing Chindo as an agro-fishery town through the introduction of new knowledge and a progressive spirit.

Yellow: The Yellow is right in the center of our county flag, standing for the Korean letter, (Chindo). It symbolizes the prosperity of the gold color of a golden land.

Green: The green stands for a modernized farming zone, abundant soil, and a hopeful Chindo. Blue: The background color of blue stands for the abundant sea and productive fishery. It also symbolizes the enhancement of fishery technologies and the expansion of fishing territory, together with our ambitions and hope.
