Flag

Located in Yokohama City Kanagawa Prefecture and established in 1988. The university flag has navy blue background with a white emblem. The university emblem of Toin Gakuen is Paulownia emblem, named after the emblem of the former Tokyo Higher Normal School (now Tsukuba University), the alma mater of successive chancellors. It is said that the Paulownia tree is inhabited by the Phoenix, a bird of good fortune. It is under the shade of the paulownia tree that the phoenix nourishes its power before soaring 1,000,000 miles into the sky. The young people under the shade of the paulownia tree, who flap their wings for the future, are likened to the phoenix. As a symbol of the pride of learning in the garden of Toin, the design is a calm design with hidden power and elegance.
