Flag

Located in Tsukuba City Ibaraki Prefecture and established in 1996. The university flag has white background with a red emblem. The university emblem, chosen by the late founder Sumi Oe, is a combination of the initials of the following three words on a rose flower, a symbol of love and purity: K (Knowledge), V (Virtue), and A (Art). This symbolizes the enlightenment of knowledge, the cultivation of moral character, and the refinement of skills, and indicates that the founding spirit of the university is to cultivate good members of society and family members by having them acquire these qualities. The "V" surrounds the "A" and "K," signifying that the cultivation of moral character is the foundation of the school. The university emblem is the same as that of Tokyo Kasei Gakuin University, the school's parent institution.
