Flag

Located in Machida City Tokyo and established in 1947. The university flag has blue background with a white emblem in the center. The university emblem of Tamagawa was created shortly after the school's founding, continuing a tradition of more than 90 years. The emblem was born on March 31, 1929, about a month after the school moved to Tamagawa Hill. The "polka-dot with a river" mark is a very simple shape, but it is meant to be easy to draw, even for small children in elementary school. The three vertical bars of the river are said to represent "truth, goodness, and beauty" and "children, teachers, and parents. Literally, the school emblem is a symbol of the spirit of Tamagawa Gakuen. In order to protect the dignity of the school emblem, official standards for its dimensions were established in 1982. This color, which represents intelligence and integrity, is called Tamagawa blue.
