Located in Isesaki City Gunma Prefectureand established in 1968. The embroidered ceremonial flag has dark green background with a gold and silver emblem in gold fringe. The university flag has green background with a white emblem in the center. Centered on the word "大學" on the school emblem, the three curved lines on the right side of the emblem represent Mount Akagi, Mount Haruna, and Mount Myogi, which are known as the three mountains of Jomo. The three lines on the left represent the Tone River, which boasts of its eternal flow, and the Karasu and Kanna Rivers, which join it. Symbolically, the university's Takasaki and Isesaki campuses both look up at the three Jomo Mountains and are located in a corner of the northern Kanto region where three rivers converge. The university emblem was designed by the first chairman of the board of trustees, who wished the students to pursue everything with an indefatigable spirit under the "weed spirit”.
