Flag

Located in Bunkyo City Tokyo and established in 1948. The embroidered ceremonial hanging flag has red background with a gold emblem in gold border. The university emblem was adopted in 1934 based on the educational philosophy of the founder. The center of the emblem, surrounded by cherry blossoms and maple leaves, represents the spirit of reunification of the founder, Jinzo Naruse. The four symbols have the following meanings: ○ : Deity, + : Self-Identity□ : Humanity, △ : Trinity Swastika: This symbol has been used since ancient times not only in the East but also throughout the world as a perfect auspicious sign of good fortune and happiness and represents the main body of the universe. The Chinese characters正・止・歩 for positive, stop, and step also mean movement, stillness, and progress, making it an all-encompassing symbol. The surrounding cherry blossoms and maple trees symbolize the beauty of spring and fall, and also signify the generation of spring and the harvest of fall.
