The town emblem was adopted on Nov 6th 2005 by Notice No 85 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a green, a blue and an orange three color town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized i of Ikata in a form of waves and an energy. It represents an uplifting feeling and an expansion to the bright future and also the most slender peninsula in Japan Sata Peninsula jutting into beautiful sea.
