The town emblem was adopted on Jul 2nd 1964 by Ordinance No 15 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a blue town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized kanji 市川 Ichikawa. The upper arrow symbolizes a soar of the city, the lower letter 川 Kawa does a reconciliation.
