The city emblem was adopted on Aug 6th 2005 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a purple city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized K of Kakegawa in a Japanese bellflower form. It represents the city’s future vision that will creates future and realizes a dream in connecting with mountains, sea and roads.
