The city emblem and the flag were adopted on Jan 10th 2006 by Notice No 1 and 2. The white flag has a green, a red and an orange three color city emblem in the center and the kanji name horizontally in black at the lower fly. The city emblem is a stylized kanji 下 Shimo of Shimotsuke. The center red symbolizes a new culture, a creation , a secure and safe future. it represents an image of the healthy and bright city which develops in an abundant natural circumstances. The flag proportion is 2: 3. The height of the emblem is 3/5 of the height of the flag.

Ishibashi Town / 石橋町
