Description of the flag

Trinity (French: La Trinité, Jèrriais: La Trinneté) is one of the twelve parishes of Jersey in the Channel Islands. It is in the north east of the island. Trinity has the reputation of being the most rural of Jersey's parishes, being the third-largest parish by surface area with the third-smallest population.

It has the most curious of the Parish badges. The triangle obviously represents the Holy Trinity. God (Deus) in the centre is (est) father (Pater), Son (Filius) and Holy Ghost (Spiritus) whereas none of the members of the Trinity are of themselves (non est) God. The flag of the Parish of Trinity is green and shows the white Shield of the Trinity diagram.

The above arms are ascribed to "The Faith" by Rodney Dennys in his 'Heraldic Imagination' (white on red) whereas Wikipedia, citing sources and illustrating yellow on red, mentions Saint Faith: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:St-Faith-Arms.png. In any case we are to understand that whereas Pater, Filius, and Spiritus Sanctus are each God, simultaneously forming one single God (= mystery of the Trinity), none of them is the other i.e. the Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Holy Ghost, and the Holy Ghost is not the Father.
