The symbols of Veliko Trojstvo (municipal website) are prescribed by Decision Odluka o opisu grba i zastave kao i uvjetima i načinu uporabe grba i zastave Općine Veliko Trojstvo, adopted on 22 May 2003 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 6 June 2003 in the County official gazette Županijski glasnik Bjelovarsko-bilogorske županije, No. 8.
The symbols were approved by the State authorities on 11 February 2004.
Decision Odluka o izmjenama i dopunama Odluke o opisu grba i zastave kao i uvjetima i načinu uporabe grba i zastave Općine Veliko Trojstvo, adopted on 12 June 2004 and published on 4 June 2004 in Županijski glasnik Bjelovarsko-bilogorske županije, No. 4, drastically amended the description of the symbols.

The symbols are described in the Municipality Statutes Statut Općine Veliko Trojstvo (text), adopted on 12 August 2009 and published in Županijski glasnik Bjelovarsko-bilogorske županije, repeating the previous Statutes Statut Općine Veliko Trojstvo, adopted on 3 January 2006 and published on 4 January 2006 in Županijski glasnik Bjelovarsko-bilogorske županije, No. 2.

The symbols were designed by the Heraldic Art d.o.o. company, from Rijeka.

The flag is prescribed in the Statutes as follows:

The flag is in proportions 1:2, green with the coat of arms of the municipality, bordered yellow, in the middle.
The Municipality of Veliko Trojstvo shall display its flag and its coat of arms on the building in which is its seat, that is, in the official rooms of the Municipality. The flag and the coat of arms shall especially be displayed on the occasion of the State holydays and on the Day of the Municipality of Veliko Trojstvo.

The original Decision prescribes the flag as follows:

The flag is of a single colour, green, with a ratio of its length to its width of 2:1, in accordance to the legal prescriptions. In the middle of the flag, at the crossing point of the diagonals, is the coat of arms of the Municipality, bordered yellow, printed on both sides of the flag.

The coat of arms is described in Article 7 of the Municipality Statutes as "In blue a Holy Trinity".
It is prescribed in the original Decision as follows:

In a triangular / heart-shaped shield in a blue field on a white / silver cloud are sitting, on the right: the Son - Jesus clad in a red tunic, with a golden-yellow nimb around his head, with his right holding a golden-yellow cross, and on the left: the Father - God, gray-haired, clad in a green-purpure tunic, with a golden-yellow nimb around his head, holding in his right a golden sceptre, and in chief the Holy Spirit, a dove, its wings spread, with a golden-yellow nimb around its head.

The coat of arms is canting, trojstvo meaning "Trinity". The design is based on a colored glass window of the local Holy Trinity Church.

The ceremonial flag in use (photo, photo) seems to be different from the one that was adopted (image); it appears to be rectangular, however, the ornaments in the lower part are not visible (also not on the table flag in the corner!).

The table flag is a vertical green flag ending triangularly, with the coat of arms in the middle, the name of the municipality above and branches of oak and vine below it.
