The State Audit Office of Georgia (website) was first established, as the Supreme Audit Institution, in the Constitution of the First Republic of Georgia adopted in 1921. Founded on the so-called Westminster Model, the Supreme Audit Institution was governed by one person elected by the Parliament and accountable only to it.
Replaced during the Soviet priod (1921-1991) by the Soviet public control system. the national system of state financial control was re-established in 1991 as the Chamber of Control of Georgia (COG), to be renamed to Sate Audit Office of Georgia in 2008.

The main functions of the SAO are:
- Public audit
- Control of budget execution and spending
- Monitoring the financial activities of political unions of citizens.
The SAO carries out three types of public audits: financial audit, compliance audit, performance audit.

The State Inspector's Service (website) is an independent state authority that, as a legal successor of the Office of the Personal Data Protection Inspector, has been operating in Georgia since 10 May 2019. The key directions of its activities are:
- Monitoring lawfulness of personal data processing;
- Monitoring covert investigative actions and activities performed within the central database of electronic communications identification data;
- Impartial and effective investigation of grave crimes committed by a representative of law-enforcement authorities, by an official or a person equal to an official against human rights and freedoms, investigation of malfeasance crimes committed with the use of violence or insulting personal dignity of a victim.

The Information Center on NATO and the European Union (website) is a legal entity under public law, which has been under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia since 2017. The Center was established by the Decree of the President of Georgia No. 752 of September 19, 2005 and has been providing information about NATO and the European Union in a simple, understandable language, the current positive processes of European integration and new opportunities for 13 years. The Center conducts its activities in accordance with the Constitution of Georgia, international treaties and agreements, the Law of Georgia on Legal Entities of Public Law, its statute and other legal acts.
