Flag of Ronquerolles

The flag of Ronquerolles (photo, photo) is white with the municipal coat of arms, "Gules papelonny argent" and of a yellow scroll inscribed with the name of the municipality.
The coat of arms, designed in 1996 by Fabienne Brûlé after the arms assigned to Ronquerolles in the Armorial Général and using the recommendations of the National Commission of Heraldry, was adopted on 14 May 1996. The oak branch used as the dexter supporter represents the woody parts of the municipal territory. The brambles used as the sinister supporter recall the origin of the village's name, based on ronces, "brambles". Ronquerolles might have been a diminutive form of Ronchères, a bigger village disappeared long ago; a ronchère is a place covered with brambles.
